Need a speaker? Well, you've come to the right place!

Over the years, I have given talks to all kinds of audiences from historical societies to civic and fraternal organizations to a group dedicated to cemetery preservation. (I really knocked 'em dead!) Chances are your gang would enjoy hearing me, too.

At present I have three prepared talks:

• "Alamo Movies" - a review of and behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the 11 films from the first silent version in 1911 to the latest epic in 2004.

• "Texas Politics" - the no-holds-barred campaigns from Sam Houston's landslide election to the Republic's presidency in 1836 to the 1940 gubernatorial knock-down-drag-out that pitted "Pappy" O' Daniel against Ma and Pa Ferguson.

• "Texas Bashing Always in Fashion" - an eye-opening examination of anti-Texas prejudice from its roots in the Revolution to the bigotry and outright hatred so commonplace today.

I do not speak for free, but my fee is flexible depending upon the group and location. It helps if I can sell column collections at the event. Gas money and overnight accomodations, when required, are absolute musts.
